Dr Nasir Ahmad
HALO Afghanistan WAD Liaison Officer

Nasir joined the HALO Trust in 1991, worked as the HALO North Manager for over 10 years and is currently the programme’s Weapons and Ammunition Disposal (WAD) Manager. He plays a key liaison role with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior and the Counter Terrorism Police (CTP) as well as the National Security Department (NSD) for all WAD related issues. He is married and has five children.

 


Nick Bray
EOD Officer

Nick joined HALO in 2007 having served 16 years in the military.  Formerly a Bomb Disposal Engineer with in the Royal Engineers Nick now travels around the countries in which HALO operate and carries out the EOD training for new Expatriates and local staff.

 


Aziz Ahmad
HALO Afghanistan WAD Operations Manager

Aziz is the WAD Operations Manager in Afghanistan.  He is responsible for managing the day-to-day WAD operation, as well as being an EOD Instructor.  He originally joined HALO in 1997 having returned from Russia where he studied as a construction engineer.  Quickly climbing through the ranks, he transferred from mine clearance to WAD and obtained his EOD qualifications.  He is married and has five children.
