Mick joined HALO as Director of Finance in April 2017 and brings a wealth of public, private and not for profit experience to the organisation, including Finance, Project Management, Systems Development, Logistics and ICT. Mick is a keen weekend golfer and enjoys spending time with his young family.

Alex Denton, HALO Trust

Alex Denton

Financial Controller

Alex has worked for HALO since 2000; based at HALO's headquarters she is responsible for the day to day management of the finance department and the financial reporting of the organisation to all stakeholders. Alex also undertakes short term assignments to most HALO’s programs.
Alex’s spare time is taken up with the management, training and ultimately competing her horse.

Karen Reed, HALO Trust

Karen Reed

UK Finance Manager

Karen joined The HALO trust in September 2005. She gained a Ba Hons in Business & Finance from Liverpool John Moores University and works in the HQ Finance department whilst also supporting the programmes. Karen has visited Nagorno Karabakh on familiarisation training and will continue with overseas finance visits. In her spare time, Karen competes in running and open water events.

Jan MacCormick

Finance Assistant

Jan joined HALO in 2017 and works at HQ as a Finance Assistant. She worked as a book-keeper in the agricultural sector prior to taking up this position. This followed 5 years as a stay at home mum, and 12 years as a Perfusionist in the NHS. She has a BSc in Anatomy. Away from HALO Jan enjoys being outdoors, running, walking in the hills, and being leader of a local Beaver Scout group.

Sharon Houston

Finance Assistant

Sharon joined HALO in 2017 and works at HQ as a Finance Assistant. She previously worked in a small family owned accountancy practice for 10 years. Sharon is a Certified Accounts Technician and is working towards a chartered accountancy qualification through ACCA.

Pam Robertson, HALO Trust

Pam Robertson

Regional Finance Manager

Pam joined HALO in April 2002 and is based at HALO's HQ. She works closely with the management team and visits the programmes on a regular basis to carry out external and internal audits also providing finance training to all HALO staff. Pam is a level 4 athletics official (field Judge) and in her spare time officiates at all levels of competition from leagues to international competitions, including the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and the World Championships in 2017.

Jenny McIvor

Regional Finance Manager

Jenny joined HALO in September 2018 and is based at HALO’s HQ. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years’ experience and has a BSc in Environmental Chemistry. Jenny works closely with the programmes covering all aspects of financial management from budgeting to reporting, and regularly visits the programmes to provide training and to assist with audits. Jenny likes to spend her spare time outdoors training for ultra-distance running events.

Scott Montgomery, HALO Trust

Scott Montgomery

Global Finance Officer

Scott has worked for HALO since 2016. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has a Bachelors in Business Administration from Longwood University. He is married and resides with his wife and children in Kampala, Uganda. He joins HALO with experience working in East Africa, including South Sudan. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration from Western Governors University.

Atholl Stewart HALO Trust

Head of Logistics and Procurement

Atholl left the British Army in 2012 after a 29 year career as a soldier and Officer. Over the last 4 years he has worked in Northern Afghanistan as Project Risk Manager, in 2014 he moved to assist in the setup of the new franchise in Nigeria for a global security company. More recently having been attached to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as a Ground Security Risk Managers on the Polio eradication programme in Northern Nigeria.
Atholl Joined HALO in April 2016.

Mark Blyth HALO Trust

Mark Blyth

Deputy Head of Logistics and Procurement

A successful 24 years’ service, Mark left the British Army in August 2015 to pursue a civilian career, completing various courses in Health & Safety, ISO Audit and Logistics.
More recently working in the mining industry in Tanzania. In May 2017, Mark assumed the post of Deputy Head of Logistics and Procurement at HQ in Scotland. Working alongside other members of the Logistics team, in providing logistical support to the HALO global operations.

Kieran McCulloch HALO Trust

Kieran McCulloch

Logistics & Procurement Officer

Kieran joined HALO in September 2014 as a Finance Assistant after graduating from Stirling University. In the Summer of 2016 he moved to the Logistics and Procurement department. He is based in the Scotland HQ but also spends time overseas training Finance & Logistics to new recruits. Outside of HALO, Kieran is a keen footballer and can always be found on a football pitch at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.

Luan Jaupi, HALO Trust

Global IT & GIS Desk Officer

Luan joined HALO in 2005 and regularly visits all programmes. He is responsible for all information management and GIS. He has a master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Tirana and master’s degree in Business Informatics from the European University of Viadrina.

Jesse Hamlin, HALO Trust

Jesse Hamlin

Global GIS & Database Officer

Jesse visits HALO programmes to provide support and training in information management systems. He identifies new system requirements, develops tools and checks to ensure workflows/systems are working properly. Jesse has visited all major HALO programmes. He joined the organisation in January, 2015 and has over 12 years experience with GIS in industry and academia. He holds an MSc in GIS from the University of Redlands, California.
