Where are you from in Scotland?

I’m originally from Edinburgh where I went to school at Stewart’s Melville College.  After 30 itinerant years in the Army (Scottish Regiments) I have settled in rural Perthshire.

What is your job title and where do you work?

I am the Programme Manager for HALO Iraq.

Why did you decide to join The HALO Trust?

HALO offered the challenge of a start-up programme in a country I was already familiar with.  I hoped my private sector experience from working in conflict and post-conflict zones would be transferrable to the work HALO does.

What is the best thing about your job?

Measurable outputs.

What do you miss most about Scotland?

Rain and family.
