Why work for HALO?

There are few organisations that offer opportunities to develop simultaneously your career while travelling and helping to make a difference in some of the most vulnerable communities in the world. We couldn’t do this without the hard work, resilience and commitment of our employees, so it is important to us that we offer our people a rewarding job role with fantastic career opportunities.

Here’s what HALO can offer you:

You will travel and experience a variety of cultures and environments, working alongside expat staff as well as nationals.

Training and development

Training for our operational staff is critical, given the nature of our work. Our operational trainees undergo a 12-month training programme, to equip them with all the necessary skills for working in the field.

HALO offers all employees ongoing training and development to support their career progression, and many of our employees have successfully advanced into senior technical and management roles.

Challenging work to help you grow

Working with HALO will challenge you so you continue to develop. You may work long hours, perhaps in a remote location with basic living conditions, but it is immensely rewarding work. You’ll be alongside a team of like-minded people who share a common purpose to save lives while helping communities return to their homes, farm their land and educate their children.

Don’t just take our word for it! Find out more about life in HALO from some of our people by reading our day in the life and career profiles
