Philanthropic trustees vacancy
Join HALO's global effort to protect lives and restore the livelihoods of people affected by conflict
The HALO Trust is looking for visionary, energetic Trustees with deep philanthropic expertise to join either HALO's UK or US Board.
Who we are
Founded in 1988 in Afghanistan, HALO has grown to become the world’s leading humanitarian organisation removing the deadly debris of war – destroying landmines, unexploded ordnance and improvised explosive devices. HALO operates in 30 conflict and post-conflict countries with over 9,000 staff, over 95% of whom are recruited and trained from the communities in which they work.
The role
HALO is at an exciting and pivotal moment with philanthropic income having grown 10-fold since 2020. Building on this momentum, HALO is entering a new chapter of private fundraising with a bold global strategy focused on individual donors, corporations and foundations.
Our Trustees play a vital role in shaping HALO's strategy. Ideally you will have an outstanding track record in major gift fundraising and a deep understanding of the global philanthropic landscape. Working as a UK or US Board member, you will provide strategic counsel to HALO's global philanthropy teams, as well as engaging high-net-worth individuals and organisations aligned with HALO's mission.
HALO is a dynamic, disciplined and courageous organisation making a tangible difference in some of the world's most challenging environments. All our Trustees are passionate advocates for HALO's mission and lifesaving work. Find out more about our Trustees
