The HALO Trust's NextGen Advocacy Network is for students and young professionals 35 and under who are passionate about creating change and supporting humanitarian efforts around the world.

The US Government is the world's largest funder of humanitarian demining. But as global conflicts increasingly put civilians at risk, engaging Congress is essential to secure resources to make land safe and enable communities to rebuild.

By mobilizing Congress to expand this critical support for demining, NextGen Advocates play a hands-on role in bringing about a safer, more prosperous, and mine-free future!

By taking action, you will:

  • Make an impact: Your advocacy will help save lives and transform communities across the globe.

  • Get hands-on experience: Learn from experts how to work directly with elected officials and advocate for real change.

Advocate (1-10 points)

  • Receive exclusive action alerts and newsletters with updates on how you’re making a difference.

Change Maker (11-20 points)

  • Dive into HALO’s incredible work, from landmine clearance to explosive ordnance risk education.

  • Unlock access to insider webinars on HALO’s life-saving programs and advocacy strategies to amplify your efforts. 

Impact Leader (21-30 points)

  • Discover how HALO’s programs empower women, reduce violent conflict, and rebuild communities.

Advocacy Champion (31-50 points)

  • Get HALO support to host your own event or write an op-ed to spotlight the importance of humanitarian demining.

Advocacy Ambassador (50+ points)

  • Earn a certificate honoring your dedication to saving lives.
