Donors' rights
To ensure that donors of The HALO Trust (USA), Inc. have confidence in our organization and its appeals for funds, the following donors' rights are recognized:
To be treated professionally and with respect at all times
To trust that The HALO Trust (USA), Inc. has used your donation towards the purpose for which it was given
To receive appropriate thanks and recognition
To have the right to remain anonymous to the extent allowed by law
To have access to the organization's financial statements
To know that complaints will be taken seriously and handled promptly
To know whether an individual soliciting funds is a volunteer, an employee or hired solicitor
To request that your name not be exchanged for fundraising purposes or choose to be excluded from any future solicitations
To be informed of the organization's mission, how it will use donated resources, and its capacity to use them effectively for intended purposes
To know the identity of the governing board of The HALO Trust (USA), Inc. and expect it to exercise prudent stewardship
To ask questions about donations and to receive prompt, truthful, and forthright answers
To have the right to opt out of mailing lists that may be shared
