As Minister for Development, Kirsty McNeill has an opportunity to champion the vital role that UK development and humanitarian assistance plays in protecting civilians, supporting stability, and creating the conditions for sustainable economic growth. Investment in mine clearance, weapons and ammunition management, and broader recovery efforts not only saves lives but enables communities to rebuild, children to return to school, farmers to cultivate their land, and businesses to thrive.
